Normal and Customary Business Practices

It is our purpose to professionally provide any requested tree care or removal operations. You, your family and your property will be treated with the same respect and dignity as we would give our own family members and personal property. We will always leave your property in as good or better condition as it was in before the job began.

As with all businesses we have a basic method that applies to our operation and how it performs the work requested by each customer. The following is an overview of our business operation.

Upon receiving your call requesting an estimate we make an appointment to meet with you. That appointment time is arranged at your convenience and allows us to accurately estimate the work in question.

When we meet with you for your estimate we will need to see the tree or trees in question and the areas surrounding those trees to determine the best possible access to the work location. We will also want to know what work you want done specifically. Please include any concerns you may have about disturbing yard areas with machinery, or any cleanup issues you may have. While cleanup of any jobsite is considered customary we have done much work with customers that did not want us to clean up the site in order to save money on the job. We have also had other customers who only wanted trees dropped because they were not comfortable doing that for themselves. Yet other customers wanted their trees dropped, sawed into firewood lengths and left on site, and the brush chipped and removed. If you are not sure what you want done simply request for us to price various options. We will be glad to price the work in question several different ways to meet your needs and expectations. We will also ask you where your septic tank and lines are located if there are any, and if there are any other underground utilities, etc in the area.

IMPORTANT: We are happy to provide whatever services that will meet your needs regardless of how much or how little that may be. We encourage each customer to take advantage of only our services that they need in any given situation. In this respect the customer remains in control of the cost of the work they want done.

All estimates are made in writing and a copy will be provided for you to keep. We will also be able to tell you approximately how long your project will take for us to complete. As some estimates can be very expensive we understand the need to carefully consider and discuss the proposal we have made with other family members, landlords, etc., so our estimates are initially good for a period of 10 days.

Once you have decided to hire our company a tentative date will be scheduled for your work. In the case of larger projects we will give you a start and completion date. Any date(s) given will be made with weather and other factors being considered, but please remember that the weather is a critical issue in performing our work. In order to avoid unnecessary damage to your property and needless danger to ourselves we do not work in the rain, and will request rescheduling any job until the ground is sufficiently dry to support the weight of any machinery or vehicles we would be using.

On the date and time agreed on previously we will begin the work in question. Please remember that the machinery and other tools we use on any given job are both loud and dangerous and will require concentration to operate as efficiently and safely as possible. Due to safety concerns we do request that you keep all family members and pets at least 200 feet away from the work area or remain inside the house.

Once all contracted work and the required cleanup is completed the job in question will be considered finished. Then and only then is payment for the project due.
